Research is a crucial part of your business plan. The better you do your research the more problems you will avoid and the more likely your business will succeed. I am sure you have heard this quote before, "If you fail to plan you plan to fail."
Always check out your market place. Look at what is wrong with what the other businesses in your area and sector are doing. Ask how can I do it better, different, cheaper, with a higher value or anything else that you think will encourage some people to use your business rather than the existing businesses.
Research as much information on your competitors as you can. Looking at their website is a quick and easy place to start. Next gather all the litterateur that they give to their customers. So you should contact them acting like an interested potential customer. That way you can find out how they do business and why they do things a certain way. You may have thought of an angle of doing business that seems like a winner but a competitor may have already tried that and it didn't work for a reason you did not consider.
You need to have confidence in your product or service.
Concentrate on providing quality of service and the money will follow.
