This type of catering business provides a food service to airlines, schools, prisons, universities and all other businesses or institutions.

To get into industrial catering you normally have to get a contract with a company. This can be extremely difficult for a newly established catering company because companies tend to go with large well established catering companies with experience.

However, if you are starting up a catering company and you have contacts within certain companies then this can be an advantage.

By knowing someone you can get into the company and organize a meeting and provide an offer to them. This could provide the same service that they are currently getting but at a lower price therefore they may decide to offer you the contract.

Furthermore, if they are a chain of a larger company then you may well be offered the contract of the other branches.
